I would certainly say the dealership is the way to go if there's one near you. Obviously it doesn't do you any good if there's none in your area.

Given the choice, I'd always take dealership-provided OEM parts over something else unless it was a smoking deal or logistics were a factor.

Good advice. I ordered from an (online) BMW dealership. Can't wait to get them on there.

These are the 30i ones, not the BMW Performance Black Kidneys.

I think that I'd probably prefer the all-silver ones that came on it over the black with chrome surround. Its hard to say though. In any event, the back performance grills are the bomb on that grey.

Holy.... Very nice.

What did you use for the front bumper vent area? Plasti-dip? Vinyl? Looking to get that done on my own.

Very nice.

And I agree. Either go chrome with the 35i, or Performance black in my opinion. The black on silver from the 30i just doesn't work for me.

Thanks! Yeah, I bit the bullet and used plastidip. The only thing that took any real effort was the completely manic way that I masked off the rest of the car.

I am making another change to all black front grills. Right now I have high gloss black slats with the OEM chrome ring.
Question:
All black grills in Matt finish or High gloss black?

The BMW Performance one has flat/matte black slits with high-gloss black surround.

Hahaha ... 4 pages on the OEM kidney grilles and never a part number shows up. Thanks to the one guy that posted some tips on removing grilles ... at least that was worth seeing.

Here's some install help for anyone else who finds this thread: http://www.zroadster.com/forum/index...inbauen.70697/

Here's the part numbers:
BMW Performance Black Kidney Grill Set.
Left Part # 51-71-2-150-253
Right Part # 51-71-2-150-252
