Bmw performance black grill

Hey guys,

For some reason, I am not a big fan of the grey grill. I was wondering if anybody has a picture of the Bmw performance grill on a z4 ??

My car color is space grey and to see its combination with a black grill would be really helpful too..

thanks,

Only have Black grills on a Black car, not sure that would help, but it would look awesome on a Silver model.

Overcast so not the best of photos. The vertical slats are more noticeable in real life.

Here is a picture courtesy of ///carbon's Z4. At first I was not a fan of black grills, but now it is starting to grow on me. It actually looks really good with black.

Also here is another from Bimmerfest 2011. I like it with the CF splitter:

Both of these cars look just gorgeous ! In my opinion, after seeing these pictures, black grill + black wheels is the most aggressive combination that Ive seen on a space grey z4..

Definitely black grill creates a bad ass contrast on white cars too, I guess I should order one asap...

That looks killer - I would have bought it for my wife's Z but hers is black (I think it looks good on all colors but black. On a better note - the iS bumper is now painted and installed - AMAZING!

I have a 2011, and for some reason. They list the Bmw performance grill as only being compatible with models up to 2010, and even on Ebay sellers don't recommend me getting it for my car because the manufacturer does not say the grill is compatible. Is there a reason why it won't fit a 2011? I know there is some front bumper difference since when I had to have mine replaced by the body shop, it took longer to get in because there was some mid model year change in August 2010. Not sure what difference there could be though..

Cool. I'll probably get them then from BMW. Can't they be installed easily though? Would thing they are like other models where you can snap old out, and new in without dealer intervention..

No, they are different than previous years, although many here have done them themselves. I wanted the side markers swapped out which involves removing the wheel so I just had them do it while they were in the vicinity.

Thanks, it really makes the car look more aggressive in my opinion, particularly in person.

You might be right - maybe I will order them and install; I bet my wife will love them. Now if I can just scrounge up a set of the 313 wheels with Michelins.

Some decent "Bargains" on ebay for 313's right now.

I picked mine up from the dealership today. Wow, paid $119 for the set. I picked up before they closed so they couldn't install them. I have not yet tried. If anyone has done on their own, could you please share. Thanks. Otherwise I will swing by the dealership this weekend to see if they have some time to do so.
