Titanium Silver vs Jet Black
I like Titanium Silver because it shows the lines of the car and gives the car a very modern appearance. It also has the side benefit of being easier to maintain (although a hobby of mine is detailing). A negative is that it shows the shut lines of the hardtop easily.
The Jet Black...well I have owned several black cars. My current BMW is JB so I am experienced with the colour and happy with it. I can keep it swirl free. Just undecided how the Z4 will look in these colours this time. Last edited by Alext; 02-12-2010 at 08:10 PM.. |

My 3er was jet black and wow did it look amazing when it was clean. There in lies the problem, keeping in clean. Its not bad in the summer, but in the winter, man all the dirt and road salt made it look like it had a two tone paint job.

Black stands out when clean and shiny!! I would prefer black and that blue poster color if I didn't get white.

I am tending towards Jet Black at this stage but have not seen one in real life yet.
Also considering the MSport package as I like the front bumper, sills and shift knob plus the ability to upgrade to factory M6 19's. |

both blacks look great. Take a close look at both blacks in the showroom. They had both when I bought and under harsh light, it appeared to me that the jet black was a little less forgiving. However both look fantastic in traffic when they are clean. Take a look at godius's videos. they show it off beautifully.

80% of Z4 in Thailand are white
The rest are black, blue, no silver Z4 here

I'd go Silver. It is the color Bond drove (Z9).

If I had to choose between black or silver I would choose black. Especially if you already own a black car so you know what you are getting into. IMHO there are just too many titanium silver BMWs on the road. I used to own a silver 330ci too.
