Option 1
buy new original shocks
fcpeuro in the states... front: 792 usd / rear: 421usd = 2426 usd full set of shocks

In US there are maybe other options... ECSTuning maybe..
But FCPEURO has a lifetime warranty should your shocks fail again which is nice. Free future replacements.

Option 2
Refurbish your old struts in Poland
Cost 328 eur per shock = 1312 eur for all 4
if your old shock is too damaged extra 200 eur core charge per shock

Option 3
Get rid of adaptive suspension... quite popular option but have to swap out all 4 corners...and also code it out or buy dummy modules.
cost varies alot...
Bilstein shocks seem cheapest yet still a good way to go...
B8 shocks all round cost about 750 usd

fcpeuro has a B12 kit that includes b8 shocks and eibach lowering springs for 900 usd

KW makes multiple coilover kits..
V1- height adjustable starting 1799 usd
V3 -height and separate rebound and compression adjustment starting from 2900 usd
if you want to use dummy modules that fool the ecu to thinking AS is still there then that costs 200-300 extra

ST Suspension kits:
St is owned by KW and is basically its cheaper lineup... no stainless steel shock construction that KW has...
ST X kit - height adjustable 879 eur

You dont have to buy cancellation modules and can just code adaptive suspension option out from a few modules. For example using INPA and EDIABAS software you can download and a cheap obd cable from ebay...
There are guides for that...search!
If you dont use modules or dont code adaptive option out then you will have suspension errors... have to either fool the ecu or code it out.

Also there are probably more coilover options out there... listed only the main ones ive seen people use on z4-s. BC Racing has a coilover kit for Z4 for example for 1245 usd.

Option 4 (is it though??)
Guess you can buy chinese ebay adaptive shocks and pray for them to last

Also 616 eur for a new OE front shock on Hubauer is a good development to see... This price drop happened recently... years ago they were 800-850 eur per shock. So they have come down a bit.

Also adaptive suspension is a bit overrated and a gimmick... If you get a good quality coilover or suspension kit and code it out.. it isnt downgrading the car... its actually improving it. At least if you are at least a bit enthusiastic about handling then you will not miss it im sure...

I'm planning to try the Ebay shocks on my 3.0 M Sport. I look at it this way.. Several years ago I went to the Toyota dealer, because I wanted a set of mud flaps. I was shocked to find the price to be $120 each. The parts guy shared the screen with me and I noticed their price was $30. So that's a 4 make up for the dealer. I'm sure BMW has a similar markup and their is also a mark up from the manufacturer. So, if you work the numbers backward and take BMW out of the picture, price is not that much different.
Any way, I'm a retired manufacturing engineer. When I get them I can definitively confirm whether they are manufactured in the same plant as the OEM's. I'm hoping to do this in July.
