music hardware options?
(NB I don't have idrive.)
So my 3-way wire got damaged (the one for the ipod w/ the ipod/usb/audio jacks) and I wonder if I should just buy a new 'Y' wire (and where can I get it w/ best price)? Or is this a good opportunity to improve my music setup? I just have an ancient ipod that I use before the Y wire got damaged. Ofc have a smartphone, but prefer to be handsfree or operate via the steering wheel buttons. Is buying the Y wire and using my ipod still the best option for my circumstances? |

Yes,
http://www.viseeo.com/ugC_ShowroomIt...0&hidShowID=22 I have it, love it. Replaces the "Y" wire and gives you bluetooth music from your phone and you can stream pandora or iphone music flawlessly. |

Not sure if they have a Cdn distributor or can buy online. How much are those things? |

You can get on Amazon easily
https://www.amazon.com/ViseeO-Tune2A.../dp/B00R3ABHXY Since you dont have idrive, you would have to relay on your smartphone or Ipod screen for a display. On the idrive, it shows as if its playing wired from the device, showing the playlist and current music track. How did it work before on your stereo? Did it display the track number or name on the stereo itself? It may show up there with this device. And yes, the steering wheel toggles work fine |
