How come the thread has the price list in pounds while the store website has it listed as USD?

Oh ok, so it is better to buy from the website. Looks like the 4LED bulbs are out of stock and I wanted to try the $89USD regular LED bulbs but it seems like it isn't available for the Z4.

$167 for Canada, for $100 less than the LUX I wonder how it would compare.

I like the whiteness of these replacement lights. But are the halo lights something I can change or does it have to be done by the dealer? If I can do it, how long does it take and are there any instructions available?
Thanks, Michael |

I havent done it on my Z4 - but if its anything like my 335i it is a bit of a pain in the ass as there is a very small access hole that you have to work in. |

LED has disadvantage of not being able to light up the outer ring as well as halogens - the pics show this clearly. Not sure how these will compare to some $20 GP Thunders or MTECs. But at least they will not dim on full beam as halogens do. Terry/Mike has said they are value for money but not as good as LUX on the N54tech website - not sure if he was referring to the 2 LED or 4 LED lights.

yeah I think it is definitely a tradeoff- and the outer ring isnt lit evenly to start with even with a bulb. I had the arc angel bulbs in my 335 and was happy enough with it - especially for $30. looks like they were referring to the previous 2 LED lights in that thread. I decided to go ahead and jump on these at $129 and give them a shot. if I don't like them its not a huge hit to the wallet. |

I just checked if the 4-led is in stock and they are but with shipping ($14) plus tax it bumps the price to $154. Still the cheapest LED alternative I guess.
Anyone see/tried if this dims down like the MTec when the headlights goes on?

came in today. will try to get around to installing them this weekend.
they are not quite the same as the ones pictured on the site - appears to just be a difference in the color of the metal though: |

I got a question. A regular H8 bulb is attached to a black plastic socket to make the whole assemble L shaped like below:
This particular bulb seems to only have the bulb w/o the black socket, so for this set-up, we don't have to replace it in that black socket right? Just place it in the housing as is?
