It's been fun
After three years of good times, I had to let my Z4 go today. A baby on the way and the safety issues involved in putting an infant in the front seat made me move on to a new vehicle. I won't miss the squeak in my brakes or the sliding around my non sport seats (bad ordering decision), but I'll miss about everything else. I've read, with few exceptions, every post on this forum for the past three years and its been fun. I'll probably still read most of it anyway. Who knows, in a few years I may be back in a Z4 or maybe a Z5. Until then I'll be tooling around in my 2015 X5, which is awesome, too.

congrats on the new baby!
X5 is a nice truck and will be a great family hauler EDIT: one way around this is to get an EPIC hauler... ie. X5M or E63 wagon that's faster than Z4 by a fair margin Last edited by nicknaz; 12-05-2014 at 12:17 PM.. |

Been there and done that.
My Beautiful 1980 RX7 LS had to go with the 1st kid in 1993 for a Ford Explorer. You will be back. Fast forward from me from 2 boys born in 93 and 95 and low and behold 19 years later, the family hauler is gone and my 09 35i 2 seater sits on the garage.

Good luck and congratulations on the new baby. Look forward to your return. Don't wait as long as I did. My first sports car at 68 years of age. As it should have been, all funds went to those damn colleges.

Watch you'll trade the baby in, in a few years and you'll be back.

Will do. I'll get some pics in the next couple of days. I only have a super crappy iPhone pic in even crappier light right now.

Sorry for the delay in reply, but here she is. X5 x35i. Mineral silver with terra dakota leather, oak trim. The close up photos are more representative of the true color, the others make it look a bit orange. I put in a couple of photos of a couple of the bells and whistles, the HUD and the ambiance lighting (which can be three different colors in three locations). The first few days it felt like I was driving a tank, but I've gotten more used to it. The surround view camera really helps when maneuvering the beast in tight parking lots. I've been loving the comfort side of the BMW lineup, but I'll be back to the sport side at some point.
