Ok, this is good. Coming out of the grocery store yesterday, as I approached my car I noticed THE SHERIFF looking it over *very* carefully. Now you must understand this guy was every bit of 6' 8", 275 lbs, built like a Mack truck, in full uniform and very well armed (.357 perhaps). As he walked around my Z4 I offered, "Is everything ok, sir?" He looked at me and said, "Son, this is one damn good lookin' ride." We struck up a conversation. I started telling him about the Z4 design, the engine, etc. Then we started talking about other cars we've owned. Comparing notes, he handily beat me on Corvettes. I've only had four of them. He's had *seven*, including the first Z06 from 2001 and the '07 he currently drives. I went down my list of previous indulgences, Acura NSX, M3, M5, two Porsche Turbos, Mercedes E55, and so on. He knew them all. We ended up talking about cars for at least 20 min. I drove away thinking, "what a cool guy, I could hang out with him."
