replace storage compartner under armrest

I would like to replace the storage by under the arm rest . The cup holders don't work for me so just a square storage area is what I'm looking for. I hear this option is available outside the US . Can someone help connect the dots to how I can order the parts to replace the cup holder.

Hey how about for those outside the US we do a swap. you get two cup holders and you send me the square storage bay? i'll pay for shipping

I found the parts on Realoem but now need to order them. the US BMW dealer said they cannot order the parts. Do you know of a dealer I can place the order with that can ship to my location in California?

Many thanks for the post. I have also placed my order with Estore. I used the following part numbers due the Bluetooth option I have . I guess there are two part numbers for the same square tray but may have slight diffrences. In summary my feel is use 51169181218 for non blue tooth option and part 51169181229 for the blue tooth option.

Rubber pad 51169174845

i thought you ordered four of the 07147122390 as well.

I am planning to put my phone inside the tray when I drive. Hopefully reception will be fine without the iphone cradle.

those are the screws. from the other posts the screws from the original work so I did not place the order for them. Check out the following link. others have done the same and wondered about the two part numbers. Your part is the correct one but the one I was using should work as well

Yes you don't need to purchase the screws, you can reuse existing ones.

and reading more from the link above I posted above, the correct parts to order so you can replace the cup holder under the armrest is the following. I had the wrong part number noted earlier in the post

Odiments Tray 51169181218
Rubber pad 51169174845

eStore would not process my order. they said they can't ship that item to the US. What gives with not selling a compartment tray in the US. I'll have to look at the custom route PH75 referenced in his post

That is odd. I placed order the same day and I did not receive anything notification from them stating they cannot ship it..

I placed the product number 51169181229... Should be 51169181218? I just emailed them to change it to 1218.

Would you also tell me how did you remove the black cable on the chip? I have attached a photo.

Should be able to just pull off, if I remember correctly...Try using a pair of pliers to get a decent grip.

Call tischer or Pacific BMW - they usually take orders for anything you have a part number for

Since they just informed me that cannot update the product code, I just get a refund and order through motormec.co.uk tomorrow.

I have the "oddments tray" (which I had to order thru a friend in the UK) in my 2011 Z4 and love it. I have a 435 on order, when it arrives we can make a deal. I'll also have a stubby antenna available. The only problem is - I have no idea when the 435 will arrive. I placed the order on April 1, it's not even in production yet!!!!!! BMWNA has given me four different excuses, all seem lame. Supposedly they're trying to determine the real reason for the delay. I'm getting pissed.

what's a 435?

I would bet not one person uses the cup holder under the armrest. And if they have they have spilled their beverage all over the place. The Euro version of the oddments tray seems to be a much better solution. So this is how I am proceeding with the oddments tray. I am taking a trip to Calgary Canada and have placed my order with BMW in Calgary. When I get there I will swing by and pick it up. Crazy to think that BMW dealers in California don't even have the part number in their system to place the order and why is this not an option.

As the entire 4 series is "4XXi" (and most BMW's have an "i" suffix) I thought it redundant.
