nice...400 dollars though...hmm, will have to get smart top before this. Its bad but I almost never use the paddles mainly due to their odd setup they have from stock. I am not sure I would justify 400 dollars on to change how gears are selected.

I did the Smarttop first, then this about a year later. The paddle shifters make a much bigger difference in the car than the Smarttop did. The shifters are part of your interface to driving it, and these really do change the whole personality of the car. The Smarttop really only is being used during those ten seconds you're putting the top down or parking the car.
I'm used to driving manual transmissions. I've driven this car mostly in automatic mode since I got it, occasionally using the console shifter but rarely the old paddles. With these I'm in manual mode most of the time. It's probably worth going to the dealership and taking a test drive in one that has them to see if they're worth it to you, but they were to me. |

Good Job!
Do they only pull/pull for downshift on left and upshift on right OR do they also push/push for the same downshift on left and upshift on right?

They are actually $578.50 listed price.
You can get some discount. Just ask around if some shop can help you with that.

Can not push. Quote:
If you not really using it. It is waste of money. If you use the Push/pull one a lot , this is worth every penny. It's not only the pull pull function. The range of finger reach and the touching help a lot.

If you have a good tool that reach the right spot, It come out in 4 seconds.
Might have hard time find the right spot thought. It clipped on not bolt on. Push at the spot they popped. Then after air bag out, take only one screw for each paddle.

I decided to do this. Can you help locating the right place to push to remove the airbag?

The screwdriver has to go into the slots nearly vertically, then swing toward the center while pushing the side of the screwdriver against a pin. It took me days to get it.
PDF attached showing how I installed the paddles. YMMV. Last edited by copperplate; 04-11-2013 at 05:40 PM.. Reason: Added DIY PDF |

Great instructions. Just one question: Do you push the screwdriver in to release the spring/clip or do you have to twist or push the screwdriver backwards/forward?
