20" Vossen VFS1 vs. 19" Vorsteiner VFF103
Vossen VFS1
Vorsteiner VFF103 What do you guys think? Which one would you consider for the E89 when you are on the following setup: -BMW Performance BBK -KW V3 Coilovers Also what if ride quality is not an issue and just concerned about rubbing? |

I would personally avoid anything from VMR. They seem to be very poorly made.
I've had to get buckles in them sorted twice and the finish is starting to go on a couple. Only had them for 6 months! |

VMR's are nice wheels, but they are cheap. Vossen or Vorstieniner are a higher end product, so it really depends on your budget. I like those Vossens personally.

My only issues with it would be the rubbing. My local dealer of Vossen recommended 20x9 front and 20x10 for rear. The rear might need to get fender rolling, which I don't want. If I go for 19s, there's bigger chance of rubbing the front bumper lip side. Budget is not an issue, I saved enough for a $2.5k wheels and $2.5k for coilovers. I'm just concerned about rubbing the rear fenders if I get the 20s. Cos that's what we had to do with my former car, 370z.

Others have ran 20x10 in the rear i think and have been fine. Do some searching around. It really depends on the offset + width of the wheel thats going to determine if you'll rub. http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator#

I run a 19x8.5 front, 19x9.5 rear at a +35 offset for reference:

I agree with Zteve, but I think these wheels speak a different design language compared to the Z4. I would go for something more concave and less "raw". Such as 6 series or alpina style wheels. The VFF wheels you showed would fit the design of the 1M better imo.

Wow, so the 19s don't really look that small for the Z4. I haven't seen one E89 here in my country with custom wheels. You will only see an E89 here if you go to the dealer. So I guess I'll be the first one.
Do you have to do the "7" thing when driving into humps? Or to an uphill garage/parking so your front bumper's chin/lip won't rub against the surface? That was the concern for 19s to me. I used to have a regular sedan, lowered it with 17s, the bottom of front bumper rubs a lot, with 18s, I don't even have to try. |

This is the last mod for the car I'm holding on off, once I've finally decided the size of the wheels, I will order everything I need so all the items arrive here together. |

My vote would be for the VFF103's but the VMRWheels V803's though. I like the 5 spoke split style. and VMR is much cheaper.

My friend's E85 has that similar design. I want to be different, not a lot of Vossen owners here. Most of them are on Lexus' and BMW sedans. |

The Vorsteiner for reference, our forum's own.
http://e89.zpost.com/forums/showpost...96&postcount=9 I think they work very well. Finally, 20s that do not look like clown shoes on the Z. |

BTW, I'm getting the Vossen VFS1. I've been a Vossen guy since 2011. First for the 370Z and to a Honda Accord. Wanted to try Vorsteiner but their local dealer here only offers 19s for the E89. I guess I'm still gonna be a Vossen dude for the next 5 years. Lol |
