BBK Fitment from E85 to E89

Hi all,

Does anyone know are the fitments for BBKs on the E85 same as the E89? One of my friend is intending to pass his Stoptechs over to me so I was wondering if a a custom bracket is necessary.

And if custom brackets are needed, are such modifications safe? Anyone has any experience with that? I have read of some people fitting porsche brakes to M3s and stuff but have not actually looked into it before

Any information would be nice. Thanks.

There's a 200 page product guide download available on StopTechs website.
They, StopTech, don't state the E8X, only model years and engine size. ??
Here's Z4 applications w/o anything for 35i/35is.

It would be different. The E85 uses a E46 front spindle design, while the E89 uses an E9x front spindle design. You would likely need new adapters/mounts from stoptech. You could make your own, but its not a trivial task.

Sorry for the revival of such an old thread.

So if the E89 is using a E9x front spindle design, how about the brake calipers? Is it also using the same brackets? If so, it's possible to use a BBK from a 3er?

Thanks

So it would seem....as that is what most do when they use the E9x OEM performance kit in the front, self included.

Having this done as soon as the parts arrive, and will provide a full write up and some pics.

Front brakes arrived today, will try to get an appointment at shop for early next week. Hoping the steel brake lines show up by then.
