Exterior A Pillar Glossy Plastic Cover

Has anyone tried to replace the exterior glossy plastic A pillar cover (the glossy black plastic pieces on either side of the windshield)? The one on my passenger side managed to get a nice scratch with only 414 miles on the ODO. Surely these get scratched and dinged all the time, and they seem to be a magnet for swirl marks. I may try to get the scratch out, but failing that, I'm wondering what's involved in replacing. It looks like the part number is 51137197820 (for right side), and just $25, so it might be just easier to replace if it's not too involved.
