Where to put the SmartTop USB cable?

I just installed my SmartTop STLFBW3 module this afternoon on my 2011 Z4. I was able to route the USB cable out of the controller bay, but now I'm not sure where to stow it, because I'm worried that some part of the roof mechanism will come down and crush it.

In instructions aren't real clear about that part. Can someone snap a pic of where you stored yours & post?

My cable is just sort of pushed under the trunk floor panel that you had to lift to install it. I have the USB connector close to a seam where I can just reach under and pull it out if I need to. When I am done, I just push it back under the felt panel.

Thanks, that's a good idea. I ended up routing mine along the rear of the trunk, behind the hinge in the path of some other wires, and under the "false bottom" where the battery and tow strap are located. So I just need to lift the false bottom to get to the cable if I need it. I also wrapped the cable in a velcro strap and put a small ziplock bag around it just in case.

I just put a plastic cover on the metal part of the USB cable which I got from one of my spare PC USB cables ...
