I agreee, this looks like it has alot of potential, especially in the design of the rear end which is my major fault with the Z4. The rear end of this car seems like it will follow the trend of the 6 series but a bit more elegant because it will be on a smaller scale.

Because its NOT a Z4 you guys. Thats the Z9. There will be no new z4 instead bmw has decided to bring the roadster back to its roots. Indeed it has grown. They intend to shrink it, and call it the Z2. So in the future you will have a Z2 and a Z9 and NO z4. BMW brass feel keeping the Z4 w/ the other two z's would be to similar for sales, filling the same roles. Not to worry the Z2 looks killer and im sure it will perform even better than the current Z4. Its gonna have a dual clutch ppl, w/ the M version possibly being turbo charged. Talk about sweet titts!

Lets hope the Z2 materializes, I think it will be a huge success among the BMW enthusiast crowd. I pray everyday a car like the Z2 or 1-series coupe comes out..

Agree with zeroblue. Everything I've read points to a 4 or 6 turbo MZ2
and a V10 MZ6 or Z9.

well the good news is that the Z2/Z4's wheels (or whatever) will fit our E90/91/92/93

From what I have read about these test mule pics is that BMW intends that car to be the next Z8 luxury roadster to compete with the MB SL series.

Here is what will most likely be the 2009/10 Z4

Way too similar to the current Z4, the only main changes I see are the headlights, hood and the body pannel directly behind the front wheel.

You can almost match it exactly to your sig!
