35is exhaust on 35i?
Even in Youtube videos the difference is well apparent. The 35i whilst sounding quite raspy and very crackly on the overrun doesn't come close to the 35is snarl. How easy is it to get the same sound on the 35i? Is it a completely different system from the wastegates onwards or will substituting a few bits & bobs like the cats do the trick? They both appear to use the same exhaust tips.
It can't be that hard surely. |

The only difference between the 35i and 35is exhaust is the muffler. Changing that out, and you will exactly the 35is exhaust. Everything else is the same.
Can't speak for what will help you achieve that, but maybe an AR DP or 2nd cat delete will give you that extra "oomf" you are looking for. |

The left exhaust is significantly quieter than the right on the 35i. It is really noticeable after you remove a set of cats. I would assume simply replacing the left muffler with the 35is version would help a lot. You can also cut open the 35i muffler and remove some of the dampening material inside.

If I'm not mistaken, this is the case for the 335i vs. 335is in the E9x |
