Need an M version of this car. The car is very well made and definitely deserves an extra M performance!!! (coupe please!)

I dig the seats, at least the Alcantara material. I am glad they are offering that fabric. I do wish the seats had a higher thigh bolster, like the previous gen M Seats.

Good to see BMW used restraint to refresh the Z4.

I am surprised by the reaction here. Im no fan of roadsters/covertibles but this is a thing of beauty, one of the most perfectly proportioned BMWs (in BMW design terms, long hood, short overhangs, long wheelbase, pushed back cabin, etc). I don't care about the interior trims, I like the interior as a general design and have you noticed that the HVAC panel is directly inspired by the CS concept, as well as Z8? Really I expected the CS to influence the design language of BMW a lot more but so far I have only seen traces of it in only two models, in the Z4 cabin and in the recently unveiled 4-Series Coupe Concept rear lights.

Of course one can argue the whole 6-series GC is a continuation of the CS idea but in purely stylistic terms I think only these two models have taken direct design cues from the CS. Which by the way I hope is revived as an 8-series, ultra luxury coupe, Gran Coupe and maybe convertible.

Oh, and a Z4M is a MUST. Being hard top one could say it is already a coupe so I don't mind that but it is really silly to have an X5M and not a Z4M.

The screen has always been like that
You are right... I didn't realise ... I thought it was opening like on the old soft top z4... The cap on top of the screen looks weird

I like how the car looks and would like to get one but at the price point they started with this Z generation it does not make sense to me. On top of that almost every review I've seen says the car doesn't handle that well, so why bother.
also, 100% agree with the pointless LCI change - nothing new and those new headlights don't make it look better or different....
pass....

So all I have to change is the Angeleye Bulbs and the Sidemarker Panel to make my Baby look up to date?

Cant improve perfection in design

Glad they didnt srew it up like with the old model.....the E85 LCI still makes me cringe when I see one

For the money........waaaay over priced! However, would be a great buy in 3-4 yrs. Pick this up "The top-range Z4 sDrive35is features a higher-output version of BMW’s venerable N54 producing 335 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque and the 7-speed DCT. The top model goes from 0 - 60 mph in just 4.8 seconds without a penalty to the EPA mileage estimates."
Last the $64K question, will the rear diff/drive shaft from a 1M bolt underneath of it...............? Thats when this car is a "hit"

Doesn't handle well compared to what? The M3? It kicks the MB SLK's butt in the department, which is its main competitor.

Disappointing... an LCI should be more desireable than its predecessor... I thought at the very least they would put squared off angel eyes on this

am i right in saying the Z4 is currently the most underappreciated model in the lineup? i just feel like i never hear anything about them....i drove one for a weekend, and they are nice, but are wayyy too expensive...

The new side markers (notice no in mirror side marker light either) looks like a direct drop in replacement for the existing white side markers. Easy for BMW to change a plastic mold for the side marker than to change the stamping for the fender, and no basic cost to production.

Wow. And I thought the X1 LCI was subtle.

its always better to have a subtle LCI than a radical one... This way, current owners will not get the royal screw job (can also swap parts and have software updates) and new owners will get to experience updated things in the car. BTW the car looks timeless. It would be stupid to mess with the design.

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

BMW <----- so funny. LCI...haha! I've seen others in this forum who have better looking Z4 mods with black tops over this so called LCI.
