3D-Design gauge pod and Prosport gauges

Installed boost, EGT and AFR gauges in the Z4 today. The 3D-Design gauge pod is excellent in terms of build quality and really matches the OEM look. The gauges are wired up to light amber and match the dash almost perfectly.

Here's a short video of the startup sequence:

Install was a breeze once I figured out to to remove the top of the center console without breaking it It just snaps in place, but requires a bit of effort to pull out. I had the smokers package, so I was able to pull +12V and ground for the gauges off of the connector for the cigarette lighter. Running sensor wires into the engine bay also fairly easy as there is a large rubber grommet on the passenger side firewall which is easily accessible once you remove the under-dash cover.

I'm not seeing images and the YouTube link appears to be broken. Sounds cool, though.

Yup, that worked. Looks very cool. How easy is it to see the gauges from the driver's seat?

Does every kit come with boost, EGT, and AFR, or can you customize? (I like the idea of boost, EGT, and oil pressure.)

pretty hard to see them when in 3rd or 5th gear to be honest. Its not a kit, you can get the gauge pod from iND and the gauges came from prosport. They have tons of gauges availble so you can pick whichever 52mm ones you want.

Do you have to cut into And splice into the OEM wiring harness(s)?
What are the Under the Hood wiring connections?
Cost of the POD with gauges?
Thanx,

Thanx,
Didn't have to cut into any OEM harnesses for power. Under the hood, the sensors for EGT and AFR require separate bungs in the downpipe (I'm using a catless one from EvolutionRaceworks that came with the bungs). For boost I had to tap the charge pipe to install a vacuum hose to pick up boost pressure.

Gauge pod - $362.00
AFR gauge - $224.99
EGT gauage - $93.99
Boost gauge - $54.75
