If you can only have one car (BMW) for the rest of your life......
Following your lead though, I'd take a P1 in volcano yellow

Easy question! X6M!
It's so horrible I would never visit the garage again and that would make the maintenance cheap. E90 M3. That's my dream car.

Only 1 car? I'd probably get the B6. Lots of room. 4 doors. Good size trunk.
But since I can have many more I'll go with what I have now. No B6 included (and my 650i GC is now gone).

X5M.
Why? If I only get one vehicle, I need something to tow my boat. Not going to do that with a car. I have my truck for that, which is why I can have a car (or two) as well. |

I would take chances on electronics and say either a F80 M4 convertible or a 640i convertible as long as it has ARS. No n63 drama. Good tech. If I can have a beater transporter on the side the e89 I currently have would be an option. |

I'd go for an E30 M3 or E46 M3 CSL if money is no question. Otherwise take a 1M or basically every M model within the past 5-10 years... They will all be classics at one point and besides, they will be worth a lot in the future!

Although the practicality and reliability come into question, I think I'd have to put my vote in for a 2010 E60 M5 with a proper 3-pedal manual transmission. My wife's E60 528i is a seriously good car, even in it's base trim. And that V10 is just legendary - and will be forever. Plus, I love the "hidden" beauty of the E60 body, (seriously - this car received a lot of flack, but you should "examine" the body lines in the dark sometime - seriously beautiful,) and also love how the M5 flys under the radar, unless someone really knows what an M car is...
As good as the E30 platform is, it's charms wear away after a while, when living with the car every day. After 4 years with one, it was time to move on, and here I am in an E90. (If I could afford an E60 M5!...) Other notable mentions would be... -E28 M5 (although, it might get old, for the same reasons as the E30 mentioned above) -Z4M Coupe with S54 and 6 M/T -My E90 now, with some subtle mods -E90 M3 with 6 M/T |
