Throttle light surging/pulsing -n54
I have a 2016 3.5 w 10k miles...it has had a issue we been trying to resolve w no luck..I took the jb4 off, left dci.(it ran horrible even in map 0) Went to a mhd flasher stage 2 tune..it's mild. Issue-- consistently when
barely have your foot on throttle on flat road, no load on engine has a slight surging or pulse...we did get it to throw a code and changed a coil and plug...still have issue, it's not bad, but a little annoying to me...I'd like it to be gone before I put downpipes, intercooler,& inlets...so I don't have to worry about making the problem worse w mods. Anyone ever have this happen???? Thx in advance if anyone can shed some light on.. |

I got the same issue when I installed the MHD stage 1 tune on mine. If you dig through the huge MHD Flasher discussion thread on e90post you'll find several mentions of this exact issue. You can cure it short term by resetting throttle adaptations but it'll creep back. One person went through replacing several parts in an unsuccessful attempt to get rid of it. Right now the consensus is it's a quirk of the off-the-shelf tune that not everyone sees and will likely take a custom tune to eliminate.
