Boxster spyder. Bought it in April and just had a Fabspeed exhaust added last week (took 4 months to get it as I ordered as soon as I bought the car). The exhaust is quit a work of art and the car is fantastic. I drive it to/from office almost every day in the summer.

Thats sick. Can I ask why you chose the X5M over a Cayenne S / Turbo?

Sure......um...better looking ( the back and side of the Cayenne look like a Hyundai to me), faster, incredible handling, stealthy (nobody other than car people can tell it's anything other than a typical X5), $30-50k cheaper and stronger resale value, and my local BMW dealer service is impeccable and unmatched.
I tend to change cars frequently, but the X5M will be with me for a long, long time
Hope that helps

The boxster spyder is a work of art. voted best handling sports car in the world. Of the 5 cars i've driven recently:

2011 M3
2011 z4 35iS
2011 Audi S5
2011 Mercedes c63 AMG
2011 Porsche Boxster Spyder

...the Spyder was by the far the most fun and best handling.

But you need a tiny arse to fit into it and a good five minutes notice to put the tent up when it rains or you park it (dont even try to tell me is a roof - its a tent - plain and simple.)

Great car on a track or twisty road. Too compromised to live with as a DD. IMHO.
ANd bloody expensive compared to the Z4.

(Yes, my arse was also too big, and my shouders, and my height)
Lucky I have found my perfect car in the Z.

Agreed the spyder is NOT a daily driver. Top doesn't take more than 2 minutes to install after you have done it 3-4 times though. The spyder is priced very close to the Z4. My Z4 was $69 and change, the spyder MSRP was $72-ish. Both are great cars for what they were designed to do.

I think this Z4 site is the far better place to say I like my Z ahead of the comptetion.
By page five of a thread I think it would be very hard to stay exactly on topic.

Over here - the price difference between a fully loaded Z4 35is and an equally optioned Spyder is close to $40k (thats with adding the extended leather interior and bigger wheels, premuim sound, etc). Thats $155K to over $190K AUD for a spyder.

And you have to get out of the spyder to put the tent up.
I laughed out loud watching Captain Slow try it on Top Gear in the rain.

My posts remain and I am unashamed.

You can use it at any dealership. They will send you the coupon in the mail after the event.

a bit much, but before the high residuals these were the normal prices.

just saw an add for a 2011 M6 for 650 + tax a month with nothing down and 10k miles a year! .... i guess this is the model end sale

900 a month is ridiculous.

I would get a Carrera for that.

Leasing at regular rates is indeed high. You are not going to get a Carrera for 900 per

Okay well a base carrera can't be much more then a 1,000 a month and that would make a lot more sense than a z4 at 900 a month.

A Z4 for $900 is pretty damn steep! What's the MSRP of your car? When did you take delivery?

A base Carrera probably leases for ~$1200 + tax for 36 months and 10K miles/yr.
