Auto Trans Fluid Change
Ok, I have a question for those fluid enthusiast out there. I am looking to change the Trans and Diff fluid and i and looking to use the best fluid for each part. I know that the best fluid for the manual transmission is the Redline ATF-D4. I want to know what fluid i can use in my auto transmission that will be better than the BMW stuff and give smooth shifting like the Redline does for the Manual.
Also I know that for the 1 series either 128, 135 or M you can use Castrol SAF-XJ+FM for the differential but I am not sure if this would be compatible with the E89. Any thoughts?

If you go to the redline site there's a filter that can show what oil to use for various applications in your specific car. I used redline 75W-90 in the diff. Can't help you with the tranny as I have an MT.
