OEM 18 M Wheels will they Fit?

I need some help.

I have a chance to purchase 4 brand new M wheels. I would use them for winter tires.

<----- They Look exactly like my Avatar, (including the ///M (same as I had on my M3 except 18").

Would they fit my sDrive Z435i

Does anyone know?

Thanks Fellows

I didn't know that the OEM 19" wheel design for the e92 m3 in your avatar was available in 18".

Am I missing something?

Replicas... If they're 40 all around they will stick out too much in the front and/or rub.

Memphis,

I plugged some numbers into the Tire Rack Table (see below) according to the results it should be okay? Or am I missing something. The add is saying BMW ///M wheels 18 inch 40 offset and 72.6 hub. My plans would be to use them for winter tires.

Here are 2 of the pictures

Here is a photo of my M3 Wheel (sold this year) guess it is hard to tell if the wheel is an OEM or Reproduction

This is a 19 Inch OEM wheel on my 2002 M3 sold this past spring

Here is the data I plugged into the table from Tire Track (did I screw up?)

FRONT WHEEL AND TIRE SET UP (COMPARING STOCK TO ///M OEM WHEEL
Wheel Width inch Wheel Offset mm Tire Width Tire Aspect Ratio Wheel Dia REMARKS
8.5 35 225 35 19 <-------- The Original OEM Wheel Style 296
8 40 225 40 18 <-------- The New ///M OEM Wheel Style
Based on STOCK the new wheel will have (Speedo @ 60 MPH will read 60 MPH with this set up ----------------> 1mm MORE clearance on the strut side, and outside edge of the wheel will RETRACT 11mm
Original Tire Diameter (in) ------> 25.2 Difference in Diameter (in) --------> -0.114
New Tire Diameter (in) ----------> 25.1 Percent Difference in Diameter ----> -0.455%

REAR WHEEL AND TIRE SET UP (COMPARING STOCK TO ///M OEM WHEEL
Wheel Width inch Wheel Offset mm Tire Width Tire Aspect Ratio Wheel Dia REMARKS
9 30 255 30 19 <-------- The Original OEM Wheel Style 296
8 40 225 40 18 <-------- The New ///M OEM Wheel Style
Based on STOCK the new wheel will have (Speedo @ 60 MPH will read 60 MPH with this set up ----------------> 3mm MORE clearance on the strut side, and outside edge of the wheel will RETRACT 23mm
Original Tire Diameter (in) ------> 25.02 Difference in Diameter (in) --------> 0.063
New Tire Diameter (in) ----------> 25.1 Percent Difference in Diameter ----> 0.251%

you have wrong info.

stock 296's are:

8"X19" 225/35 ET29 Front
9"X19" 255/30 ET40 Rear

and the Style 67 18" M3 wheels are:

8"X18" 225/45 ET47 Front
9"X18" 255/40 ET26 Rear

and the Style 67 19" M3 wheels are:

8"X19" 225/40 ET47 Front
9.5"X19" 255/35 ET27 Rear

so if you're telling me that those 18" are ET40 all around then they're replicas...

I guess one learns something new every day

Using the correct Offset/ET I put the new numbers into the Tire Track tables and if I purchase these REPRO M3 Wheels using them for winter tires same on all wheels as 255/40/R18 then the bottom line would be;

A) 11 mm (0.43") more clearance on the strut side
B) the wheel will retract on the outside edge by 11 mm (0.43")
C) Original Diameter was 25.02" New Diameter will be 26.03"
D) Difference in Diameter will be 1.008 0r 3.872% larger for the winter tires
E) Speedo @ 60 mph will now read 62 mph with the new wheel / tire set up

I checked the average price for repro M3 wheels are $225- plus 13% tax in Canada, so for 4 wheels this would be $1,017.00 I can pick up the 4 wheels for $575.00 Canadian a saving of $442.00 I think that is a fair deal for the 4 new wheels (see the pictures in my post above)

Thanks again for taking the time to help me out with this.

[A wheels offset is determined by the distance from the centre of the wheel to the rear of the bolting plate For any individual alloy or steel wheel, ET and Offset both have the same meaning and value. The term ET originates from the German word 'Einpresstiefe' which translates as 'insertion depth'.]

Further checks confirmed that the wheels are NOT OEM, they are indeed Reproductions (still good looking for winter tires I think I will get them I somehow miss my M3 wheels)

Thanks for posting.
