Guys - I'm confused regarding bulb replacement.

I'm looking for a easy install and safe (no heat issues) option. It seems to be H8 LUX is one of these options. Please let me know if there are others out there with good quality and easy install.

H8 Lux's website unfortunately is a disaster. There is no link for E89. I have sent couple of emails to get information but no luck yet. So here are my questions:

1) Shall I go with V3 or V4. I don't care about changing color
2) Does the installation require any cutting, pasting, etc..?

A lot of us have had decent luck with some of the ebay ones. But that's more or less a gamble. I've also had LUX on a previous car before. It's guaranteed good quality, just expensive.

You would want to get the V4:

I don't even see V3 on the website. But V3 will work as well. V2 was not compatible with E89 (the reason why I switched, I had a V2). V3 and up fixed the issue. Installation is just plug and play. But the space is very cramped so it may take you a bit of time if you have big hands.

Thanks a lot!!! Are there any E89 specific instructions (or even better video)? Their website has videos for other models.

Not really. Just open your hood. There are two caps on each side above each headlight. Open them and you can access the bulbs. You can look at my post with a few pics earlier in this thread (post #10).

I have had the V3s installed now for around 18 months, I had one bulb fail but the local dealer I purchased if from in the UK replaced it FoC. I look froward to your pics with V4s installed with the different colour temperature settings.

We are working on getting an install guide for the Z4's however there are none that are close to us to take pictures. If anyone would be willing to take a lot of pictures for us we could offer you a discount on a set or a credit if you already purchased one.

I have to say the led lamps I installed in 2012 at the start of this/my post are still working just fine...
