Help with iDrive/BMWAssist/Signal

Hi,

I have an active BMW assist option with my iDrive that allows calls to INFO PLUS and use of BMW Online etc.

In recent months, 50% of the time I'm told its searching for a signal check back later. No use to me. I've not changed driving routes or patterns and have had no issue with signal until recent months.

I'm wondering if I may have dislodged the antenna for this system and I'm hoping someone here might know where it is so I can check before I have to take the car into BMW where it will no doubt be sat for days before they tell me there's no problem they can see.
