Just sarcasm! That's the M Sport bumper. I think the silver line us just an aberration in the photo; there isn't supposed to be one. The non-M Sports have a silver frame with a horizontal bar inside the air dam.

I agree. AW is the best color for the E89. It truly brings out the car's beautiful lines.

I had the stealership custom order an sDrive35i with an sDrive35is bumper and 326M wheels. I did not want the sDrive35is variant with a DCT with the weird looking carbon fiber aluminum trim and silver mirror caps. I prefer playing with a stick. It is more fun and engaging.

I almost ordered yellow, but it's a fad color that will eventually go out of style after a few years. Didn't want to have remorse had I done so.

Now that's a different look. This car clearly has the M Sport bumper but it also has the silver bar across the left and right air dams. It previously didn't have the bar.

I personally like it without the trim bar and with black performance grills. MT is an excellent choice!

Here is one with black performance grills and the silver trim bar. Silver trim piece gives it a little more definition:

While my favorite Z color is Deep Sea Blue (the color I bought) the local BMW dealer here has a AW Z4 out in front on the main drag, and it is striking! You can see if from really far away, and it really catches your eye. Gorgeous lines.

If you go for that look, you should black out the trim piece to match the performance black grills to give it a cleaner look. I'm not into black rims. I would rather see silver alloy for the wheels or even gun metal.

It's an M-sport that comes standard on sdrive35is since 2011.
