Video: 135i vs Z4 35i (tunnel fly bys and racing)

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Have not been on the forum for a while. I have a few videos I thought I would share of some street fun.

The 135i is full bolt ons, no meth running JB5 at around 18psi e85 mix
My z4 DCT is tune only along with muffler delete, factory air box.
Running custom mapping Procede Rev 3 peaking at 15/16psi.

In this video the 135i is on race gas, along with a different a bit more restrictive exhaust.

So the Z with a tune is equal or better than FBO 135i in straight-line performance? What transmission was in the 135i?

The 135 has automatic transmission with a trans flash. I say that the setup with the Z and the 7 speed dual clutch is a killer setup. Not to mention FBO vs tune only and on good clean runs I pull on the 135i.

Cranking up the boost by this weekend to see what it can do.

Here is a glimpse of how quick the car is now on 16 PSI.

Nice. You're on stock FMIC? What temps are you reaching after a few pulls? Limp mode at all?

Temps linger around 240-250, unless you really keep doing crazy amount of pulls it will get up 260. Mustang is fast, but on a clean run I pull on him 70mph+. The 135i ran a 11.8 at 123mph if i remember correctly. Mustang around the same but 115mph.

Mustang is soon to be 700hp SC.

Some nice pulls in a 335i against these cars:

1. BMW M3 Stock
2. Chevrolet Corvette (non Z06)
3. BMW M3 E46 HPF Turbo Stage 2 (Low Boost)
4. BMW M3 E46 HPF Turbo Stage 2 (High Boost)
5. BMW 335i E90
6. Mustang GT500 (not 2013)
7. Nissan GT-R (not 2013)
8. Ferrari California
9. BMW 335i E92
10. 2013 BMW M5 F10
11. 2013 BMW M5 F10
12. 2013 BMW M3 w/ ESS Stage 2 Kit (+Meth)

... also, 135i should be faster (lighter) than 335i, so I wonder how the Z will do in this scenario.

I love racing E92/E46 M3s. I don't know why people think it's fast in a drag race.....

On an actual drag strip. Good shares.

I will be recording more videos hopefully in the next week or so.
I am glad they kept the N54 in the new 35i Z4s. I think its the only
car 2013 that still has the n54, correct me if I am wrong.
