New Wheels - BLING
Just picked up some newly customized BBS / BWM wheels for my Z. Looking forward to a LOT less time spent cleaning these compared to the OEM #293s that are on there now.

I am not in to chrome wheels but I do like the design, similar to the M3 CSL wheels. How much do they weigh? Are they staggered fitment?

Customized in that they took stock BBS/BMW wheels, polished them, 3 x chromed, then polished again. The vendor told me they are approx 24lbs each and yes they are staggered.

I struggled with the sheer amount of chrome too, until I superimposed them on an image of my blue z. Then I pulled the trigger fast. I will send photos once they are mounted on the car.

Burned.... Update on those wheels
Well after 5+ years of "ebaying" and after having purchased over 40 items ranging from a couple of dollars to multi-thousand dollar camera equipment, I have finally been burned.
The BBS / BMW wheels arrived from the 'vendor' and I took them straight to my pro installer to be balanced. All four wheels are bent, 3 of them so badly that they are completely unusable. I have contacted him and he has indicated he will refund my money when he receives the wheels back (shipped across the continent at my expense) which I hope is the case. With shipping, duties, taxes, brokerage fees etc I will still be out nearly $1000 on this deal. What a pain. |

Did you pay by paypal? I would start a paypal dispute if you have concerns about him refunding your money.

The threat of very, very, very negative feedback on Ebay might help convince this "vendor" to refund all of your costs. This is the right thing to do. What kind of feedback did this vendor have on Ebay?

He only had under 200 reviews, but 98% were positive. One negative review called him out for selling bent wheels and getting the refund was a big hassle. I have recorded video of the wheels on the balancer as well as send a bunch of high def images back to the vendor.... no word back from him yet. If I don't get a positive response from the vendor then I can open a full claim with PayPal and (hopefully) get a refund from them. |

Well finally some good news... after much wasted time, a few arguments, and a long dispute resolution process I have managed to get a full refund from the ebay vendor who sold me these bent rims.
I did have to eat the return shipping costs, but in the end I have learned the age old rule "when it seems to good to be true, it usually is" Caveat Emptor! |
