I agree, it's overweight but still a ton of fun. I too have had 3 Vettes, '66 350/327 '61 Fuelie and my current '90 FX3 coupe. The '61 is the only one that would put this Z4 to shame.......but only in a straight line.
A buddy here in CA had a Z06 and it reminded me of my '61 in the way it loved to rev. I too miss the big V8 rush in the Z4 but the instant torque is intoxicating. Funny, my kid has a 335i tuned by a BMS JB4 and our Z4 6-speed can kick his A$$ handily.
