Check out ProClip. I had one in my last Z4 (non nav) to hold my GPS but they make phone holders too.

Has anyone tried a cup holder cell phone mount? Tossing my phone in the cup holder makes the phone both unstable and too low. Wondering how this would look.

I haven't found anywhere I could put the phone that would not suck... proclip and vent mounts block the vents, and sticking it to the windshield is a no go. Otherwise, mounting it close to the steering wheel to the right blocks the iDrive screen, which seems to only leave the cupholder mount ad a good alternative?

Prior to me having dash cam - I had is located next to the central rear view mirro - with an suction to the windscreen.

Now I have it located on a suction on the bottom right of my widscreen.

I mount mine using one of those gummy suction cell holers, the work greay lost of holding power and they stay put even on non smooth surfaces. Mine is stuck to the access plate below the radio. I do have to reach under the phone to activate the heated seats but that is easy enough, and I just count the time I press the button to change the seats power or to turn it off. And in this position it keep the sun off of my cell when driving topless.

Anyone using or have experience with the Kuda mount? My problem is I want a mount to blend in and not look like an afterthought... so while pricey the Kuda appears to do this.

I use Mountek Magnetic mount. Works great. The magnetic just sits behind my case and it sticks really well even under hard turns.

https://www.amazon.com/Mountek-nGroo...ywords=mountek

Any CD slot mount would do for me.

I can't do windshield mounts because as temperature fluctuates, the suction cup loosens and falls off. Too risky especially if you got an expensive phone.
I don't like the other mounts that sticks to any part of the car because the base that attaches to your car is pretty much permanent. It's going to be pretty hard to remove it if you decide to remove it later.

That leaves the only way of attaching through CD slot for me. Though I hate that the CD slot is so low on the Z4. Too bad they don't make a magnetic cup holder mount.

I have got the KUDA-solution mentioned by @spiicytuna, still very happy with it.

Can you post some pictures installed? The ones on the KUDA website lack quite a bit to sell someone.
