Carbin fiber trim for 2011 35i?

I just bought a 2011 z4 35i. DSB with beige leather. It has the ash colored trim which I might want to change out for carbon fiber.

Does anyone sell CF trim pieces for this car, or do I have to wrap my current trim pieces? I'm hesitant to wrap my own for fear of messing it up.

Yes there are dask kits available for the Z4 at CARID.

www.carid.com

That have a nice real Carbon Fiber kit.

The kits are manufactured by Remin. They are nice quality.

There are Many color and material choices, including an OEM match to my Ash Grain Wood in my Z. I had them send me a sample color to test the match.

I purchased the 27 piece basic kit, but selectively used only what I wanted.

I also purchased the Carbon fiber door sill kit and it is very nice.

It installs over the existing black plastic with 3M backing tape.

It is easy but take your time.
Clean the dash EXTRA CLEAN WITH alcohol wipes many, many times prior to installation especially if you have used Armor All or similar.
Heat each piece with a hair dryer prior to installation.

BMW Z4 E89 2009-2013, Basic Interior Dash Kit by Remin®. Using the latest technology, this product is made right here in the USA. Remin dash kits are available in various trim finishes including real wood and wood grain, aluminum, and carbon fiber, real and synthetic. No other dash kit brand gives you the wide range of choices provided by Remin. Capture your vehicle's inner beauty with a custom dash.

NOTE I have the upgraded radio. The REMIN kits DO NOT have the correct peice for the radio.

I made my own 2 peice template, worked with the REMIN engineering dept who created a custom 2 peice kit for my radio in the Ash Grain. If you have this radio, I can send the template to the forum.

CF Door Sills- To match the CF door sill, I removed the inner decorate door carpet seam cover and wrapped it in CF.

Installed peices
4- peices- D and P- Dask AC/Heat Vents
1 piece- Center Dash Vent
2 pieces- Pass Door- Speaker and window control
3 pieces-Drivers Door- Door handle, window control and Speaker
3 pieces- Steering wheel- 3 spokes
2 pieces- Guage cluster
1 piece- Key Insert
1 piece Headlight control
3 Pieces Center Console- Shift surround, I drive control, E Brake surround
2 Pieces- CUSTOM- No Pictures yet- Radio

I did not use the following from the 27 peice kit:
1. 2 pieces -D and P doors that cover the pop up door locks on the door.
2. 2 piices- D and P- I did not use the Door handle surround pieces

I love the look. It breaks up all the black.
It is removealbe with a hair dryer if I want to get rid of it or make a change.
My last car was all Real Carbon Fiber and looked it as well.

That looks good. This remin dash kit doesn't replace/cover the OEM ash trim I currently have, correct? Can I replace my OEM trim with anything?

There's a vendor selling a carbon interior trim that actually replaces the OEM trim for a cleaner and sturdier look. Go to the marketplace.

Not for me, sorry. Looks like an old mans car with all that plastic looking wood. Perhaps in carbon but even then there's an awful lot of it. I'd probably fit just half that to keep it tasteful.

I feel the same, just not into the brown wood look. My 335i had dark burl walnut trim, which did not go with the coral red interior at all. I ended up swapping the trim out to high gloss black, which worked much better.

Correct This adds/covers up the black plastic only of each peice as I outlined. However the Large KIT at Carid you can cover up the OEM Ash with limitations, NOT REPLACE. There may be gaps when covering the OEM pieces and as CARID states with the kits with covering up the OEM ASH grain. If you are going this route get a new trim set from BMW.

These dash kits are not for everyone. Thats what great about the forum and individual cars- all different tastes.

Full Carbon Fiber Interior- I have seen them for the Z interior as complete replacement of the OEM trim for a small fortune, in the $1500-$2000 range. Search this forum.

Thanks, I found the post and the cost is $1400-$1500. For that, I'll stick with my Ash trim.
