green handle inside of trunk lid?

Too lazy to read the manual: what is that thing? Is it meant to be moved and how does it work? Thx.

It's to unlock the trunk from the inside. It's green because it's glow in the dark so in case you get thrown in there or were napping inside the trunk and someone was being a jerk and closed the trunk, then you can open it from the inside.
