Rear Roundel Question

Does anyone know how the rear roundel affixes to the emblem button? I can't tell if its just adhesive, or if it utilizes the traditional pin-to-grommet method? No grommet parts are listed in the realoem schematic for the trunk/lid closing system, which leads me to believe its adhesive only. Thoughts?

Although I cannot answer with 100% certainty, all BMWs in the past have had both. The Emblem itself is adhered onto a 3-Dimensional chrome disc. The disc is put in-place with pin-to-gommet.

Agreed, but its unclear for the e89. I am doing a custom roundel project and have ordered the parts, so I guess I'll find out how it attaches when it arrives!

It would be interesting to know, keep us posted. I'm sure as the E89 ages a bit, it will need new Roundels. BMW can't seem to make ones that last more then a few years.

Basically, I'm going to ATTEMPT to do this project to all 4 roundels (front, rear and sides) and caps for my 326 wheels:

(I won't be doing the German flag though.)
