Btw after the latest software upgrade on my car along with BMW reseting the adaptive learning on my gear box the car actually spins the wheel when changing from 1st to 2nd now. its like manual gear all over.

i have also noticed when the car shifts gear while in sport + with Gear in S that there is a forward jump in all gear.
I thought I was the only one experiencing a forward ump in all gears after the latest software upgrade. amazing.

- Sport Mode (selected by sliding DCT gear selector to the left)

I, pretty much, live in one of these sport modes... and am trying to figure out which is better. (Or, really, what the differences are)

Opinions?
you may have seen this Review, it explains it very well ...

That article really covered the rocker button well, but what about the "S Mode" you put the gear shift into?

Sport mode for dct changes gear shift points only.

Sport mode on the mode button implements a half map of the above, stiffens suspension, steering, throttle response etc.

The former is my choice if I need to quickly move in traffic.

The latter is my choice if I'm going to sustain any speed and manoeuvring as the whole car stiffens with the suspension changes making it much more stable at speed.

The adaptive suspension in normal mode is unstable at high speed, very wobbly. Sport mode stops the corner to corner dipping in these situations. Sport plus makes the car rock solid.

I hardly ever use sport + unless at high speed as the roads here in the UK are awful and sport + will shatter my spine!

My experience has been that you have to manual shift in sports plus if you want to keep your fuel bill in check. Otherwise the car starts to drink like a fish.
I get 10.8 litres per 100km with spirited and mixed driving.
In heavy start stop traffic this can go up to 15.
On a highway cruise it goes down to 8.
When I drove in sports auto mode on the Dct and sports on the DDC I was pulling 12-13.

Never full auto, never

Note: I have the Sprint Booster too, allowing me controlling the throttle response for separate

I usually drive our 6MT in Normal.

I like the way the car drives in Sport, but remapping the throttle means I have to relearn how to shift smoothly.

I didn't realize the throttle response is changed in a MT car. I've always driven my car in Sport. I'll have to drive in Comfort and see the difference.
