Are windows supposed to go up after closing the hardtop?

According to the owner's manual, if you keep holding down the button after closing the retractable hardtop, the windows should go up. Does this work on your car, because it doesn't do it on mine. What's even stranger is that the windows close if I close the hardtop using the Comfort Access remote control but not if I close it using the button on the console.

Attached is a chunk of page 30 from the owner's manual.

mine goes up. Even closing the roof via remote (though i've had it stuck a couple of times when closing/opening via remote). Just have to try again when that happens.

does your windows go down before the roof goes down?

It seems the U.S. models do not have the windows go up via the "top up" button. It has worked for me from the remote but only when standing next to the car.

Apparently that is the problem; the feature is disabled in U.S. cars. I can't imagine why. It's not like it is a safety hazard.
