Lost tow hook cover

It was there this morning, dammit. Don't have a clue where it is now. Anybody loose one of these? What does it take to replace? I'm guessing I'll have to order it and have it paint-matched. I'm slightly OCD about my cars, so this sort of thing will drive me crazy until it's resolved.

I bet they screwed it up when your bumper was replaced, and maybe it wasn't in there snugly. There are probably broken tabs on either the bumper or the tow-eye cover. If the problem is on the bumper, then that should be remedied otherwise the replacement tow-eye cover will probably fall out again.

Part number is 51118048042. It comes primed, so you're right it will need to be painted and matched.

Agree. Order the part. I have this part stored in my glove box as I use the tow hook mount for a front license plate.

The cover is very easily removed. In fact, IMO it should be made more secure as it's a little too easy to remove or lose.

Not a surprise at all. $50 for piece of painted plastic. And it will, most likely, fall off again.

I'm tempted to use a couple drops of superglue to secure the damn thing. I won't, but it's tempting.

No, it's CDO. Because that way it's in the correct order alphabetically.
