tire air leaking ... can't find the spot..
hi all!
I am struggling with air leaking I replaced rear tires last year December. then a rear tire has been leaking air little by little. so i have to keep a 12V compressor in the trunk to put air when low presser sign on. this is so annoying me... I visited local tire shop 3 times 3 different places but they could not find leaking spot... i change cap valve but still it leaks. below is information i can tell... air leaks much faster if I drive fast... it really depends on how i drive (90mile speed can last about 50~60 mile distance) my wheel is style 295 oem genuine(no wheel crack, damage, leak) with oem rsc(no patch no repair) bubble test can not find leaking spot only one suspected point is attached for the test, i drove at 150 mph then i got completely flat tire (presser gage show 0 bar) can you guys advise? |

My my advise is don't drive at 150mph when testing a flat tire.
Cracked rim that leaks when under load maybe? |

Didn't the op say there are no wheel cracks (and that the wheel has been checked three times)? These don't seem like very helpful responses.

I had a similar problem last year. My tire had a slow leak and the tire shop couldn't find it with the bubble test either, so the guy just sealed all around the beads. Not very precise, but it worked!

I found where the leak point is
air was leaking from the little wired bead. it has no leak if i don't drive but it starts leaking during driving depending on speed.....
i put slime sealant into tire then drove.. then some of sealant came out from the bead area...... i guess i have to change tire... nol delicious meals for a while.. Thank you guys |

The best way to find it is to pressurize the tire to about 60PSI and submerge it in water. Watch the tire all the way around to see if you see air bubbles escaping. If you do take tire out mark it and replace. Otherwise flip tire over to other side and repeat. I do agree that the bead does not look seated properly in the pic above.

I am pretty sure you have TPM sensors. When you replace the tires they will charge you to rebuild them likely. This just means place new rubber gaskets in there.
