Coolant sensor?

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if you guys have had this problem where the coolant sensor comes on intermittently. It would come on when I start the car but after I drive it for a while, then shut it off and restart (e.g. going to supermarket down the street), there is a 30-50% chance of it coming on again. Of course the other times, it says everything is A-OK! It seems like a sensor problem but I don't know why my sensor would have a bipolar disorder.

Could an aftermarket FMIC cause this error?

Never had this problem. I checked my coolant level around the 35.000km mark, and could see it was getting close to MIN. So I just asked my dealer to add some. While there, they advised me to make a coolant flush together with my next oil change. but that is a different discussion...
I never had any warnings related to the coolant level. I sort of assumed I had to check it by myself. It is very easy btw. With the engine totally cooled off, you just unscrew the... oh wait, with all those mods installed you must know how to do this already...

yeah sounds like low coolant... when the coolant warms up it expands so its not fully low... just top it off

Yeah, I am gonna check it today when I get back. All other times I had a chance, the car was too hot. Just weird that it would come on then come off randomly...hence why I figure it was a sensor and not the actual level. Just wanting to see if this was a problem for folks in terms of the sensor. That was all. Thanks for the reply guys.
