illuminated door sills
Yes i ordered them, they look cool.
it supposed to be easy to install but my dealer called me today and he told me that they may need to do some changes to the wiring and might have to drill somewhere to fix them. anyone installed them? |

Every time I see an illuminated door sills I always think of Hammond review of Mercedes G when he said "supermodels are powerless to resist a man with illuminated doorsills."

Install is not hard
OK, first of all this mod is not that hard to do and the end result is quite nice. I did it for my wife as a surprise and she likes it - a lot. (another powerless supermodel..?!!)
My dealer provided me with a print out of the install instructions. NO DRILLING IS REQUIRED!! If someone says they need to drill - go find another mechanic. I did this by myself in my garage in a little over an hour. I dont have pics right now as I am deployed. I hope this helps.. CLL |

Door Sill Install
I will see if the dealer here can give me the same print out that I got from my dealer in Stuttgart. Unfortunately, I am in Texas right now and the instructions are in my garage in Germany. The El Paso BMW dealer may be able to print out a copy for me. MTF.. CLL

About the instructions
One other thing that I forgot.. When I bought my kit - it had NO instuctions in the box.. So I asked. Now I was an American in a German BMW dealership - so I am not sure if you guys get the same helpfullness here from the BMWNA dealers. I will check with the dealership here tomorrow on my way home.
