Well you may know that I have a 2 ltr turbo - and with some recent events I have noticed the car suffering from heat soak, this reduces the car performance.
I could not justify the cost of larger inter-cooler as you talking best part of £1,000 and I would be an gunie pig - as not many people have done such work to an N20 in an E89. Injecting Meth into the charger - I thought would be pushing the car beyond its capabilities. So when I was at the rolling road, I was disusing with the engineers - and said that the WRX guys user water spray and spray onto the inter-cooler to reduce heat soak. So I started the venture of of implementing an independent water spray kit. Cage for water Water Jets Water Tanks Primary Switch in glove box Operator Switch Results Well weather need to improve but I post testing The plan is to use meth or screen wash with atlest 30% ethanol as this has a lower evaporation level than water - so it is able to disburse heat better than water on its own

damn dude, you went overkill. lol
A larger FMIC will have the same if not better results. the N20 isnt magic, a larger FMIC will reduce IATs in any turbo vehicle. Its proven. The FMIC i posted is 900$ US so 600 pounds and you dont have to hack up your car.....

Also, meth injection isnt going to "push the car beyond its capabilities" as long as you dont use the meth as an octane supplement you are fine. you can just use meth as a cooling method...basically exactly what you are doing with your IC sprayer. but aftermarket chargepipes come with bungs for meth injection, so need to hack your car up.

Well I have an issue that heat soak is not reducing - when stationary!!!!
The 28i when it comes to mods is pants There is only one company who makes an charge pipe for the N20 28i http://www.spacegear.com.tw/ And not found an intercooler for the 28i - have to be an guniee pig and try an wagner evo - and see what happens. Basicall very limited options..... So anyoying and Sunday I have my drag strip day as well.....

It fit fine. That was on a N54 though, not sure about the N20 fitment obviously.

Trying out a new idea - of using 135A spray - that reduces temperature to -50c and is not flammable.
No results on how effective this is yet.
