Your ideal top-down weather?

I like the airy feeling but don't like the sun bearing down on me, so I prefer those overcast, low wind days and mild nights. What's yours?

I live and drive at high altitude so it can get quite chilly but it is generally good weather. So perfect for me is a clean winding
mountain road, 10 degrees celcius, heated seats and sun. Maybe even some patches of snow alongside the road to make it just a bit more special to drive top down!

Every weather without heavy rain/snowfall >-10°C/14°F

BTW: Rain will stay out of the car when driving faster than 80kph / 50mph.

Actually I rarely drive it with the top up. Ideal for me is 60 to 82 degrees F. Intense sunshine can get tiring. Evenings are ideal. Cooler and warmer work OK with this car because the AC/and heater work well with windows up, and the seat and wheel heat for the really crisp days. Wind blocker helps too. It is almost always comfortable with the top down (E89)
Wish I could drive it in Switzerland. Maybe someday in the Rockies.

Ya, those guys are real troopers. I can't imagine driving around like that. I used to when I first got the car for the novelty, but man, I feel like I'm gonna melt now haha.

anything under 100f for me, had the top down to 43f, but that was just silly, my wife doesn't care how hot, it was 115F and I was driving along the river in Az, so it was muggy also, she was having a blast and dancing in her seat, I was miserable, but you know the saying, happy wife,,,

Actually ideal for me are those warm nights, 70s and up, all summer long here in socal

What's being a Canuck got to do w/ anything? It's the bright, glaring sun that bothers me in addition to the mugginess when it's humid/hot/sunny.

This weekend was perfect in Chicago. 82°F and sunny. It was my first warm weekend since I bought her. I took her over to the local hand car wash Saturday morning to get her ready. Day 1, I drove around a lot with the sun beating down on me. I didn't expect it to be as warm as it was and I didn't wear any sunscreen. Needless to say, my head, neck and arms are all quite red and sun burned. Day 2, I wore sunscreen and it went a lot better.

The sound of the exhaust, with the top down, is intoxicating. I absolutely love this car.

Being from a cooler climate you are acclimated to that. Toronto is also one of the least sunny places in N.A. So you tend to be bothered by warmth and brightness. So that's what being from Canada has to do with it.

Where do you come up w/ that claim that TO is one of the least sunny places? Probably from the same source that says all Southerners are uneducated hicks. LOL.

Anyway, Toronto is a top 10 sunniest city in Canada. Also, I prefer summer to winter, just that I dislike when the sun's unbearably glaring down, so, again, nothing to do w/ being in Canada.

My source is N.A. statistics which I specifically stated. Meaning North America. TO is near at the bottom. Sorry but true
When I lived near you just across the lake I was accustomed to that climate. When I traveled to the south, I had to get accustomed to a lot more sun and heat. It is not a stereotype. It is actually different. I spent a lot of time traveling and doing business in Canada. The summers are the best, and I miss that. I have had to get acclimated to a new climate. I assumed you were like that too , my apologies.

60-80, clear sky. Best time would be sunset, or under a full moon over mountain roads, or city driving.

Right, so you're just making stuff up as I suspected. A simple google search disproves your claim that TO is one of the least sunny cities in North America. If you can decipher colors, that would be parts of Alaska/Yukon/BC, that huge swarth of land adjacent to Hudson's Bay (i.e. parts of NWT, Nunavut, Ontario, Quebec, Newfoundland/Labrador, PEI (all), New Brunswick and Nova Scotia), with the least sunniest being part of Newfoundland/Labrador. So, nope, Toronto's not within those areas and hence you're wrong.

I would have dropped this a long time ago but you keep getting personal and making insults and accusations about me. I even tried to be apologetic. The N.A. continent includes the entire other country called the USA. I am glad you feel so strongly and defend it.. I have lived in both parts. I have Canadian friends, relatives and associates. That is why I smiled when you remarked about the weather and I said " spoken like a Canadian." Peace. If you want to go on send me a private message.

I'm sorry, I guess that your first post somehow rubbed me the wrong way for whatever reason...I supposed that I don't want to reinforce the Canada=freezing tundra stereotype and wish to state that we do have sunshine here and most of us don't live in igloos lol.

Anyway, regret going a bit medieval. Peace also.
