actually yes, sort of: I have learned the hard way as several issues were caused in port and through shipment from the New Jersey port to my dealer in Texas. as for the adaptive suspension and all BMWs, there is a transport mode that the car's computer/brain is placed in for shipment. then, when it arrives at your dealer they are supposed to take it out of "transport" mode. however, our Z4 had a shock/adaptive suspension failure warning from day one after pick up at the dealer but never had this problem when we drove it almost 800 miles in Europe after picking it up at the Welt in Munich. so, long story short, the new software at my dealer needed an update to properly bring Z4s out of transport mode that have the adaptive suspension or otherwise you will get a failure warning on your dash - or that is at least the BS story I was told. I just don't know what to believe anymore????
