Serious problems with my hardtop!!

Hello.

I know there is a topic somewhere to talk about these kind of problems, but I think that this one deserves a unique topic. I have been experiencing problems with my hardtop...it blocks when I try to close it and it simply does not close. I have sent it to my local dealer two times to try to solve this, but they cannot!! It is not a persistent issue, as it comes and goes. The red light flashes and it simply blocks...
Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

I'm sure this is probably not your issue, but I had the red light come on once, and it turned out that the trunk lid was not closed tight. The key fob must have been pushed accidentally and released the trunk lock, although it was not obvious sitting in the car. This prevented the top from working.

And you don't have a smarttop module or similar, do you? In very rare cases the modules appear to cause strange roof behaviour.

But indeed, best guess is some sensor reporting a malfunction without a cause.

Let me guess: no error code in the computer and dealer can't reproduce it?

They have already replaced a part. This hás solved the problem for a couple of weeks, but now it is back! I have to take it to BMW again...
