Engine RPMs

For those of you with the turbo engine, when you first hit the ignition button and start the car first thing in the morning, how high do your RPMs immediately jump up?

My engine RPMs spike up to a high of 1900 for a brief second before going back down.

The reason I ask is that I believe this spike started to occur AFTER the dealer adjusted my software to fix the HPFP issue. I do not recall such a spike prior to that.

it happen mostly for first start. 2nd start after a while if u try should not jump so high

Are you saying you are experiencing a spike to 1900 RPMs on the first start?

I am looking to find out if anyone else is experiencing a spike to 1900 RPM's on the first start of the day.

Mine does not spike and idles at around 600 rpm

First start at +10C, mine speaks to 1600 rpm and at settles to 1200 rpm for few seconds.

yup it will just shoot up then down. subsequent start will just ard 1k lower 600 normal.

Mine does the same thing. Jumps to 1600-1900 for a very brief time then goes down to 1100 until it finally settles at 600. I'm still running with the factory software, no updates.
