How to wire 12 V dash cam to power

Hi all,

I recently got a Planet Halo HD car dash camera to use for cruising and security purposes but to my surprise, rather than having a cigarette lighter adapter (or whatever those are officially called...), it simply has two loose wires, one for power and one for ground.

The instructions say to connect the red wire directly to a 12 V power supply or the ignition terminal and the black wire to ground, but not sure that's possible given that the car is a push-to-start and nothing more than a plastic hole to place my key fob. Any ideas on how I might wire this thing to the car battery or terminals in the hood in a decent-looking fashion?

best place is under the passenger side dash. If you remove the lower panel you will get access to the fuse box. From there find a fuse that gives +12v when ignition on and use a fuse tap to grab power.
