It's all personal preference of course

I had 6MT in my 335i and DCT in the Z4. I don't really miss the 6MT if I'm honest.

Had no problems ordering, but the confirmation letter from Euro Delivery had special wording to make sure that customer knows they are ordering a manual transmission. I thought it was funny.

I did Euro delivery of a 135i back in 2010 met some German folks. They were surprised and impressed I, an American, would get a manual transmission.

Yeah, MT is so common in europe (as are diesel engines). Also, no one cleans the brake dust off their wheels.
