How many speakers in Top Hifi? 14 or 16?

I'm just in the mid of upgrading my standard stereo to Top Hifi.
Bought amplifier, wiring loom and speakers (Everything on place, still not connected and not coded yet)
In official BMW price list there are 14 speakers for 650W system but in real.oem there are 16 in total...
2xsubs in the back
2xwoofer in footwell
2xmid in doors
2xtweeters in doors
2xmid in back
2xtweeters in back
2x(mid and tweeter) center front
2x(mid and tweeter) center back.
I received 14 speakers from vendor (2 tweeters are missing). Should I ask for them?

BTW does anybody know how to reach with new loom from amplifier to door speakers? In WDS there is X256 connector - where it is located?

Garage List
2012 BMW Z4  [0.00]
No rear tweeters. But there is a space for them and connection point in rear assembly. So in theory they could be added.

However it's 14 speakers from the factory.

I have the 14 speaker version in my 35iS its good but for 14 speakers it seems a bit weak. I can only imagine the stock one.

Just out of curiosity, why exactly does a two-seater require 14 or 16 speakers? Surely you could get proper audio with at least half the amount? Not trying to be a smartass...

I think there needs to be a lot more sound insulation for there to be "proper" audio in the E89.

My own assessment is that the Top HiFi (which I have in my 35i) is more focused on being "loud" than being "accurate" because of all the noise that comes through

That's why having all the trims away, before speakers assembly I'm going to put foams everywhere it's needed.
Door insulation isn't that bad - and for 10cm speakers it won't make big difference if you improve it.
The biggest issue I found in footwell - where behind front woofers there is steel w/o any dampening materials.
Also area behind seats it just thin partition wall - but in fact subwoofers are in closed boxes so any dampening materials would just make the vehicle a little bit more quiet, not improve the sound of subwoofers.
