Traction control warning this afternoon
When I left the office this afternoon, right after I backed out of the parking space the traction control warning came on in the main display and I got the DTC warning light as well.
I pulled over in the parking lot and stopped/re-started the engine, and the light stayed off this time, all the way home. Not wanting to resurrect an old thread from 2010, I did find this in the search: http://e89.zpost.com/forums/showthre...action+control where it appears a few members had a similar issue. Anyone else have this recently? I did just install a SmartTop module last weekend. I doubt that has anything to do with it, though. |

I never found any stored codes with my Bav Tech. Until you POR, the idle varies from 700-1700 constantly. I'm thinking the Power On Reset fixes everything. No smart tip here. Mick

FWIW, I have gotten a DTC warning on my 525 a couple of times for no apparent reason. Shut down, start backup and it goes away. I was never given an explanation for it and it never lasted past the next start up.

This had happened to me in the past with my e46 , DTC, EML and break light came on then the car went to "Limp" mode. Initially restart worked but later it happened often and stayed on limp node for a while. Didn't experience that on the E93.
