Trunk Opening

Silly question but when you press the trunk release button is it suppose to lift open automatically?

When I press my trunk release bottom it just unlocks and rises a tiny bit, just enough to get your fingers in the gap.

Trunk opening

Mine just pops open a little, too. I think it's designed that way.

It electronically releases the latch.

You know that the BMW roundel on the back is hinged right? Push on the top and the bottom comes out to act as a nicely sized handle. That's also the external release for the trunk

No, they're not designed to open all the way automatically.

Thanks for the feedback and confirmation

I have used the BMW roundel which I really like the sleek hidden design. I was just a little surprised when using the remote and interior truck release button it only opens a small amount.

Hey it works. I never realized roundel on trunk was hinged to open trunk.
