Exhaust Pipes Getting Less Silver or Chrome

After almost 3 years still really enjoying my beloved z4, however this is the only 'issue' that is really bugging me.

Any ideas on how to have it cleaned well? Mine is the twin pipe since it is a 2.5 engine. Is the only solution to buy a whole aftermarket exhaust system?

Any input? Thanks a million

Try some 000 steel wool.

Try some ceramic stove cleaner, less abrasive than anything else you can find that rinses clean, and isn't affected by heat. If they are really bad and this doesn't work you can always fall back on the 000 steel wool.

Barkeepers friend. Get it at Wallyworld, target, etc. with all the other kitchen cleaners.

Personally I removed them and put stainless steel ones on! If you look at my pic you will see, it looks much better than stock and makes a better noise!!!
